HushThem ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our call management application.
Information We Collect
HushThem collects minimal information necessary to provide our services:
- Contact Information: Access to your contacts is used solely to create and manage your whitelist of approved callers
- Call Logs: We access call logs to track blocked and missed calls for your review
- Phone State: We monitor incoming calls to provide call blocking and silencing features
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to:
- Block or silence unwanted calls based on your preferences
- Maintain your whitelist of approved contacts
- Display blocked and missed call history
- Provide night mode and scheduled blocking features
Data Storage and Security
Your personal information — contacts, call history, and your allow list — is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit, upload, or store any of it on external servers. That data remains under your control at all times.
Partner Program Attribution
If you installed HushThem through a link shared by one of our partners, the app sends two things to our server once, on first launch:
- The partner's code, which came from the link you followed
- A random anonymous identifier generated by our payment provider, RevenueCat
This is how we know which partner to credit, and how we avoid counting the same install twice. Neither value identifies you. No contacts, call history, phone number, email address, or device identifier is sent, and nothing is sent at all if you installed the app any other way.
If you use the app's invite feature, it also checks once a day whether any friend you invited has subscribed, so we can grant you the free premium months you have earned. That check sends only your own invite code.
We implement security measures including:
- Biometric authentication options for app access
- Local encryption of sensitive data
- No cloud synchronization or external data transmission
Third-Party Services
HushThem does not share your personal information with third parties. The app operates entirely on your device without external data processing.
Permissions
HushThem requires the following permissions:
- Phone: To identify and manage incoming calls
- Contacts: To create and maintain your whitelist
- Call Logs: To display blocked call history
- Notification Access: To detect and silence calls from VoIP applications
Data Retention
Your data is stored on your device for as long as you have HushThem installed. You can delete all app data at any time by:
- Clearing app data in your device settings
- Uninstalling the application
- Using the in-app data cleanup features
Children's Privacy
HushThem is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated revision date.
